What we are learning about the Israelites in our study is how they’ve gotten to a place of complacency. They are just going about their everyday lives as they see fit. They are seeing the results of spiritual drifting into darkness that have led to a significant defeat and the capture of their most sacred symbol, the Ark of the Covenant.
